Placements24 is seeking a Senior AI Researcher specializing in Reinforcement Learning to join our fully remote team. You will drive groundbreaking RL research, develop novel algorithms, and apply them to real-world problems, collaborating with leading experts and publishing in top venues.

The role emphasizes mentorship, experimental design, and delivering high-quality research code while contributing to the strategic direction of the team.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, ML or related quantitative field.
• Strong publication record in AI/ML conferences/journals (RL focus).
• Expertise in various RL algorithms (Q-learning, Policy Gradients, Actor-Critic, model-based).
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience with simulation environments (Gym, MuJoCo, PyBullet).

Responsibilities

• Conduct cutting-edge RL research and explore new algorithms and applications.
• Develop and implement novel RL methods for robotics, games, optimization, and control.
• Design and run experiments to validate and benchmark RL approaches.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to integrate RL into broader AI systems.
• Publish findings in top AI conferences and journals (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).
• Stay updated with RL advances through literature reviews and community involvement.
• Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the team's scientific strategy.
• Develop high-quality code for research prototypes and experiments.
