Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Real Estate Appraiser to join a remote-first team delivering defensible valuations across residential, commercial and industrial properties, with Pretoria-focused markets.

The role requires CRA or CGA designation, 7+ years of appraisal experience, and expert knowledge of USPAP, multiple valuation approaches, and appraisal software such as Appraise-It and Valucentric. You will mentor junior appraisers and work independently to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• CRA or CGA designation is mandatory.
• Minimum of 7 years of real estate appraisal experience.
• Expertise in sales comparison, cost, and income capitalization methods.
• Thorough USPAP understanding and regulatory knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Appraise-It, Valucentric and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex real estate appraisals for residential, commercial and industrial properties.
• Conduct in-depth market research and analyze comparable sales and leasing data.
• Prepare comprehensive appraisal reports in line with USPAP and standards.
• Conduct property inspections when feasible for remote work.
• Analyze zoning, land use regulations and environmental factors affecting value.
• Mentor junior appraisers and provide technical guidance.
