Placements24 is seeking a Senior Quantitative Analyst to join a fully remote team serving the Banking & Finance sector in South Africa. You will develop and implement advanced mathematical models for trading strategies, risk management, and derivative pricing, collaborating with traders and technologists across a globally distributed setup.

The role requires an advanced degree in a quantitative field and 5+ years of experience, with strong Python, R, or C++ skills and deep financial knowledge.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field (mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science, or financial engineering).
• 5+ years of experience as a Quantitative Analyst in Banking & Finance, preferably in asset management or hedge funds.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or R; strong understanding of financial markets and trading strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and backtest complex quantitative trading models and algorithms.
• Build and maintain pricing and risk management models for various instruments.
• Implement models in production using Python, C++, or R and analyze large datasets for trading opportunities.
