Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Analyst to join their Banking & Finance team in Centurion. You will develop sophisticated financial models, pricing, risk management strategies, and trading algorithms, driving data-driven decision making and analyzing complex market data.

The role requires advanced degrees, 3+ years in a quantitative role, and strong programming in Python, R, C++, or Java.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, CS or Financial Engineering.
• 3+ years in a quantitative analyst or similar role within finance.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, C++, or Java.
• Deep understanding of statistical modeling, probability, stochastic calculus, and time series analysis.
• Experience with derivatives, risk management concepts and financial markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement quantitative models for pricing derivatives, risk management, and portfolio optimization.
• Analyze large datasets to identify market trends, correlations, and investment opportunities.
• Design and build algorithms for automated trading strategies and risk control systems.
• Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and risk officers to provide analytical insights and solutions.
• Ensure the accuracy and robustness of models through rigorous backtesting and validation.
