Job summary

Placements24 is hiring a Senior Quantitative Analyst for a fully remote role. You will develop and optimize algorithmic trading strategies across multiple asset classes, leveraging advanced mathematics and programming to build high-frequency trading models and market-making strategies.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field and have at least 5 years of experience in quantitative research and development, with strong skills in C++, Python, and/or R, plus ML and

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's degree in a highly quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quantitative research and development, specifically within algorithmic or high-frequency trading.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of financial markets, derivatives, and trading strategies.
• Proficiency in programming languages used in quantitative finance (C++, Python, or R).
• Experience with statistical modeling, time series analysis, and machine learning techniques.
• Familiarity with large-scale data processing and database technologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in remote work settings.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, backtest, and deploy quantitative trading strategies using statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Conduct rigorous research into market microstructure, trading dynamics, and predictive modeling.
• Analyze large datasets of market data to identify trading opportunities and risks.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate strategies into production systems.
• Monitor the performance of live trading strategies and implement adjustments.
• Research and evaluate new data sources and analytical methodologies.
