Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Senior Process Engineer to contribute to global mining operations. Design, optimize, and troubleshoot mineral processing circuits from your home office, applying chemical engineering principles and process simulation to improve recovery and reduce costs.
You will collaborate with metallurgists and engineers across time zones, develop control strategies, generate feasibility studies, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards
Qualifications
- Master's (or PhD) in Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering.
- 8+ years in mineral processing/mining.
- Experience designing grinding, flotation, leaching, purification.
- Proficient in METSIM, HSC Chemistry, Aspen Plus.
- Strong analytical, written and remote collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize process flowsheets for mineral concentration.
- Run process simulations to predict performance using METSIM or equivalents.
- Analyze plant data to identify bottlenecks and implement data-driven solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex process issues and provide remote technical support.
- Design metallurgical test programs and interpret results for design changes.
- Develop process control strategies for stable operation of plants.
- Write feasibility studies and process design documents.
- Collaborate virtually with metallurgists and engineers across time zones.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
