Placements24 is seeking a Remote Senior Pharmaceutical Data Analyst to drive data-driven decisions across R&D, clinical operations and commercial teams. You will build analyses, dashboards and predictive models using Python/R, SQL and leading visualization tools.

Esteemed for your analytical rigor, you will operate in a fully remote SA context, collaborating with a global team from Randburg or elsewhere in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Minimum 5 years in data analysis, with substantial pharma/biotech experience.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, analysis and modeling.
• Expertise in SQL for database querying and management.
• Strong experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
• Deep understanding of pharmaceutical R&D processes, clinical trials, and regulatory landscapes.

About the Role

Our client, a cutting-edge pharmaceutical organization focused on leveraging data to drive innovation, is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Remote Senior Pharmaceutical Data Analyst. This role will be critical in analyzing complex pharmaceutical datasets to extract actionable insights that inform strategic decisions, enhance drug development, and optimize clinical trial performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, and exceptional skills in data visualization and reporting. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large, complex pharmaceutical datasets (e.g., R&D data, clinical trial data, market access data) to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated analytical models and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and support business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, clinical operations, marketing, and commercial, to understand data needs and deliver relevant analyses.
• Design and implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through compelling reports and presentations.
• Utilize statistical software and data visualization tools to present complex data in an understandable format.
• Contribute to the development of data governance strategies and best practices.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in data analytics, pharmaceutical trends, and relevant technologies.

Requirements
