Placements24 is seeking a Remote Pharmaceutical Data Analyst to extract actionable insights from complex pharmaceutical datasets. You will build dashboards using Tableau/Power BI, perform predictive analytics, and collaborate with R&D, marketing, sales, and manufacturing teams from anywhere in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within pharma/healthcare.
• Proficiency in Python or R and SQL.
• Strong data visualization skills with Tableau/Power BI/Qlik Sense.
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts and modeling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organize large, complex datasets from various pharmaceutical sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Perform statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data mining to identify key trends, correlations, and insights related to drug efficacy, patient outcomes, market dynamics, and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with R&D, marketing, sales, and manufacturing teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
• Interpret complex data sets and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for strategic business decisions.
• Develop and automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data analytics, machine learning, and pharmaceutical industry trends.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of data governance policies and procedures.
• Present analytical findings and insights to cross-functional teams and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal data security policies.
