Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Offshore Wind Turbine Technician for a fully remote role with a global renewable energy leader. You will provide expert remote technical support, troubleshoot offshore wind turbine systems, and guide project teams from your home base.

You will analyze performance data, support field crews, refine maintenance procedures, and help diagnose root causes of equipment failures while collaborating with engineering and operations.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or HND/HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience working with offshore wind turbines, including troubleshooting.
• In-depth knowledge of wind turbine systems: gearboxes, generators, electrical and control systems.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and remote monitoring for wind farms.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical expertise and troubleshooting for offshore wind turbines.
• Review turbine performance data, identify trends, and suggest proactive maintenance.
• Support on-site teams with guidance, documentation, and remote assistance during repairs.
• Contribute to development and refinement of maintenance procedures and best practices.
• Assist in root cause analysis of equipment failures and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project management to ensure uptime.
