Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Scientist to lead AI/ML initiatives in a fully remote, global team. You will design, validate, and deploy production ML models across business functions, collaborating with data engineers and product managers to translate complex problems into scalable data solutions.

The role requires a PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field and 7+ years of hands-on data science experience, with proficiency in Python/R and modern ML libraries.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in data science and machine learning.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying production-ready ML models (classification, regression, clustering, deep learning).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R and libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas).
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and identify patterns.
• Perform feature engineering and selection to optimize model performance.
• Validate and test models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Deploy ML models into production environments and monitor their performance.
• Collaborate with data engineers to build scalable data pipelines.
• Work with product managers to translate business needs into data science solutions.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best practices.
