Placements24 is seeking a Senior Logistics Operations Manager to optimize and lead logistics and warehousing across South Africa from a remote-first setup. You will drive efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role demands a strategic thinker with extensive experience in warehousing, inventory, TMS, ERP, and a proven track record of delivering improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration or related field.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• 7+ years in logistics and supply chain; 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record in managing complex logistics ops and improvements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Data analysis and reporting tool proficiency.
• Ability to work in a remote, fast-paced environment; budget management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness in logistics and warehousing.
• Oversee day-to-day logistics operations including inventory, order fulfillment, transport, and distribution.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to measure performance and identify improvements.
• Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals; foster collaboration and high performance.
• Negotiate with 3PLs and suppliers for favorable terms and SLAs.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards and company policies.
• Leverage technology to enhance visibility, efficiency and accuracy.
• Analyze data and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure business continuity.
• Drive continuous improvement across logistics and warehousing processes.
