Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator for a fully remote role in the pre-construction phase, responsible for developing accurate cost estimates for a wide range of construction projects. You will perform detailed quantity take-offs, cost analysis and tender submissions for competitive bids.

You will collaborate with design teams, project managers and clients, maintain cost data databases, and provide constructability and risk guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive construction estimating experience.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Procore Estimating, Autodesk Takeoff) and Excel.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and schedules.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for conceptual, preliminary, and final bids.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs from drawings.
• Analyze plans and specs to identify scope and risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, including conceptual, preliminary, and final bids.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings.

• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, ensuring competitive pricing.
• Develop comprehensive bid packages and proposals for tender submissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in construction estimating.
• Demonstrated success in estimating large-scale commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore Estimating, Autodesk Takeoff, Excel) and general computer skills.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and scheduling.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple high-priority bids simultaneously.
• A dedicated home office setup with reliable high-speed internet is required.
