Job summary

Optimal Growth Technologies is seeking a Senior E-Commerce / App Developer for a remote contract role. You will design, develop, and maintain e-commerce platforms and mobile applications, integrating APIs, payment gateways, and third-party services to ensure performance and an excellent user experience.

This role requires 5+ years of software development experience, proven e-commerce expertise, and strong API/cloud skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proven experience building e-commerce platforms and digital commerce solutions.
• Experience building and supporting mobile applications (iOS and/or Android).
• Strong understanding of API development and integrations.
• Experience with cloud-based environments and modern development practices.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and design principles.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain e-commerce platforms and mobile applications.
• Build and integrate APIs, payment gateways, and third-party services.
• Develop responsive web and mobile solutions with a focus on user experience.
• Implement new features, enhancements, and platform optimisations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, performance, and integration issues.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.
• Optimise application performance, security, and scalability.
• Participate in solution architecture discussions and technical planning.
• Maintain technical documentation and deployment processes.
