Job summary

ATS Client is seeking a Senior Web Developer in Gauteng for a remote role. You will design, build, and maintain Internet Banking and Portal features on an ASP.NET MVC stack while ensuring security and performance.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, prototype Flutter Web modules, and stay ahead of mobile development trends. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in web development with leadership, plus Azure DevOps and REST API experience.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in Computer Science or comparable experience.
• 7+ years professional web development, 3+ years in a senior/lead capacity.
• .NET Server-Side: 7+ years C# (.NET Framework & Core), strong ASP.NET MVC.
• Front-End: HTML5/CSS3/SCSS, Bootstrap, JS/TS, responsive design.
• Security: OAuth2/OIDC & JWT flows, MFA, XSS/CSRF hardening.
• DevOps & Cloud: CI/CD in Azure DevOps, App Insights logging.
• Testing: Unit & integration, UI automation, load/perf testing.
• Proficiency with Git and modern development tooling.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Internet Banking and Portal features on ASP.NET MVC stack.
• Embed bank-grade security (OWASP Top 10, PCI-DSS, PSD2) in every release; drive vulnerability fixes.
• Own release quality: automated tests, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with DB, Middle tier, UX, Mobile, DevOps, and Security teams; translate goals into technical plans.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers; foster clean-code and documentation culture in a remote environment.
• Prototype new modules in Flutter Web.
• Stay up to date with latest mobile development technologies and trends.
• Troubleshooting and debugging mobile applications; optimize performance.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries to expand app functionality.
• Mentor and guide junior developers; participate in code reviews and uphold quality standards.
• Communicate with stakeholders to understand needs and deliver technical solutions.
• Work independently and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
