Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a fully remote team supporting a global platform. You will design scalable cloud infrastructure, automate deployments, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to drive rapid development cycles.

You will implement Docker/Kubernetes, monitor systems for reliability, and automate oper­ations while collaborating with development teams across geographies. A strong background in IaC and scripting is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or similar roles.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and services.
• Expertise in IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and scripting (Bash, Python).
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proven ability to build and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP ) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation .
• Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds, testing, and deployments.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes for efficient application deployment and scaling.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively implement solutions to enhance reliability and uptime.
• Automate operational tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure seamless integration of applications into production environments.
