Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on cloud services to join a remote-first engineering team. You will architect, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications and infrastructure, driving innovation and reliability across our cloud initiatives.

In this role you will design microservices, manage CI/CD pipelines, work across teams to define requirements, and mentor engineers while ensuring secure, cost-efficient cloud operations in a dynamic virtual environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/engineering.
5+ years in software development with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Experience with containers (Docker/Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code.
Strong remote collaboration and agile teamwork.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based solutions using microservices.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements.
Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.

Requirements

Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Python, Java, Go, or C#.
Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
Deep understanding of networking, security principles, and database management in cloud contexts.
Proven ability to work effectively in a remote , agile team setting.
