Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Remote Senior Delivery Driver for a fully remote role across South Africa. You will lead a team of drivers, plan routes, monitor performance, and ensure smooth deliveries while maintaining strong customer communication.

Qualifikationen

• Valid South African driver's license (Code 10 or higher) with an impeccable driving record.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity.
• Proven experience in route planning and logistics management, preferably with exposure to e-commerce or parcel delivery.
• Proficiency in using GPS navigation and delivery management software (e.g., Google Maps, Waze, specialized fleet management systems).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to handling challenges.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup for remote work.
• Familiarity with the road networks and conditions in various South African provinces is highly advantageous.
• A background check will be conducted.

Aufgaben

• Plan and optimize delivery routes using specialized software to ensure maximum efficiency and timely deliveries across designated regions.
• Coordinate and manage a team of remote delivery drivers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
• Monitor fleet performance and driver activity in real-time, addressing any deviations or issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery, vehicle logs, and mileage.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules, updates, and any potential delays.
• Ensure adherence to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve delivery-related challenges, such as vehicle breakdowns, traffic congestion, or customer complaints.
• Conduct remote vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Collaborate with the logistics management team to identify areas for improvement in delivery processes and efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service, representing the company professionally at all times.
