Placements24 is seeking experienced Remote Delivery Drivers for long-haul routes in South Africa. This fully remote role lets you manage schedules from anywhere, with autonomy in delivering high-value cargo across the country.

The ideal candidate has a clean driving record, at least 5 years of long-haul experience, and familiarity with ELDs and GPS navigation. You will coordinate with dispatch and ensure safety and on-time arrivals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of verifiable long-haul commercial driving experience.
• Valid professional driver's license (Code 14) with a clean record and PrDP.
• Experience with ELDs and GPS navigation systems.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently on long road periods.
• Strong time management and route planning abilities.
• Reliable access to communication devices for remote coordination.

Responsabilités

• Safely operate long-haul vehicles according to routes and schedules.
• Ensure timely, secure nationwide deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain logs of driving hours and mileage using electronic devices.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Manage cargo securement and protect goods in transit.
• Communicate with dispatch about route status and delays.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report needs.
• Keep vehicle clean and professional in appearance.
• Represent company professionally at delivery points.
