The ideal candidate has 10+ years in network engineering, 5+ years in cloud networking, and strong leadership, with proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, Python, and cloud security practices. Remote work with international collaboration is core to this role.

About the Role

Our client, a globally recognized leader in telecommunications innovation, is seeking an exceptional Senior Cloud Network Architect to join their fully remote team. This role is critical for designing, implementing, and optimizing secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud-based network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and a deep understanding of network architecture principles in cloud environments. This position offers the unique advantage of working from anywhere, contributing to cutting-edge projects without geographical constraints. We are looking for a visionary leader to drive our cloud networking strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect resilient, scalable, and secure network solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).


• Develop and implement best practices for cloud networking, including VPC/VNet design, subnetting, routing, and security groups.


• Lead the migration of on-premises network infrastructure to the cloud.


• Oversee the implementation of hybrid cloud networking strategies, ensuring seamless connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.


• Develop and maintain network automation and orchestration solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.


• Ensure network security compliance and implement robust security controls in the cloud.


• Monitor cloud network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement optimization strategies.


• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure alignment and integration of network solutions.


• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineering teams.


• Stay current with emerging cloud networking technologies and trends.

Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.


• 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 5 years focused on cloud networking.


• Deep expertise in designing and implementing complex network architectures on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.


• Proficiency in cloud networking services such as AWS VPC, Azure VNet, GCP VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN Gateway, Load Balancers.


• Strong experience with network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, Python).


• Expertise in routing protocols, firewalls, security groups, and cloud security best practices.


• Excellent understanding of hybrid cloud connectivity solutions (Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Interconnect).


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and architectural design skills.


• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, suitable for a remote work environment.


• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate) are highly preferred.
