Placements24 seeks a Remote Senior Cloud Network Architect to lead the design and implementation of our next-generation cloud networking infrastructure. This fully remote role enables work from anywhere in South Africa.

You will architect secure, scalable networks across AWS, Azure, and GCP, and define standards and automation for cloud environments. Collaborate with development, operations and security teams to ensure optimal performance, and drive hybrid/multi-cloud connectivity and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in network engineering/architecture with a focus on cloud networking.
• Deep expertise in designing/managing networks in AWS, Azure or GCP including VPC/VNet.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, secure, and scalable cloud network architectures on major cloud platforms.
• Develop strategies for hybrid and multi-cloud networking including connectivity, routing, and security.
• Define network standards, best practices, and automation frameworks for cloud environments.

About the Role

Requirements

• Strong understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
• Experience with container networking (e.g., Kubernetes) and microservices architectures.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
