Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our client’s distributed telecom team. This fully remote role supports critical network infrastructure across South Africa.

You will design, implement and maintain networks (LAN/WAN/cloud), monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and mentor junior engineers. A strong background in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS and Cisco/Juniper equipment is required, with excellent communication for remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 5+ years of telecom-focused network engineering experience.
• Proficiency with TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF and MPLS.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage complex network architectures including LAN, WAN, and cloud.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks and optimize speed and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
