Job summary

ICON Clinical Research in South Africa offers a Senior Clinical Trial Manager role focused on country-level delivery in a sponsor-dedicated model. You will lead local study teams, drive startup activities, and ensure regulatory submissions align with protocol requirements and ICH GCP.

You will manage budgets, timelines, risk mitigation, and QA across the study lifecycle, collaborating with global teams and investigators to deliver successful trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related field.
• Significant clinical research experience in CRA/Senior CRA/Study Management or related role.
• Strong knowledge of ICH GCP and country-specific regulatory requirements.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and full study lifecycle management.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Local Study Teams to deliver studies on time and on budget.
• Oversee country-level startup activities, site activation, and regulatory submissions.
• Manage country study progress, identify risks, and implement mitigations.
• Guide CRAs on protocol compliance, ICH GCP, and local regulations.
• Maintain TMF/eTMF and ensure inspection readiness; collaborate globally.
