Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Senior Civil Engineer to join a fully remote design team. You will lead the civil design for urban developments, focusing on roads, drainage, utilities and public spaces, while guiding junior engineers and coordinating with planners and authorities.

The ideal candidate has 9+ years in civil engineering, a degree in the field, and strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and GIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 9 years of progressive civil engineering experience with urban planning focus.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Experience in designing large-scale residential/commercial/mixed-use developments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS and related design tools.
• Strong understanding of urban hydrology, traffic engineering and utilities.
• Excellent communication and remote-work suitability.
• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor juniors.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design for urban development and master-planning from concept to detailed design.
• Develop site layouts, road networks, stormwater and utility plans.
• Ensure designs meet regulations, codes and standards.
• Collaborate with planners, architects and other disciplines in a remote team.
• Prepare technical reports, design justifications and client presentations.
• Conduct feasibility, impact and risk analyses for developments.
• Review design calculations and drawings by juniors or external consultants.
• Engage with authorities to secure approvals and coordinate services.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote their technical growth.
• Stay abreast of trends in sustainable urban design and smart infrastructure.
