Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute tests for automotive components and systems. The role supports remote work from Bloemfontein, focusing on reliability, safety standards, and validation of new technologies.

You will lead test plans, analyze data, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with design teams to ensure high-quality automotive products. A strong background in test methodologies and ISO 26262 awareness is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of test engineering experience in automotive.
• Experience designing and executing complex test plans for automotive systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test plans for automotive components and systems.
• Execute functional, performance, environmental, durability, and validation tests.
• Analyze data and generate reports detailing findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot and validate fixes.
• Maintain calibration of test equipment and stay updated on industry standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure safety compliance.
