Placements24 is seeking a Senior Research Scientist in Analytical Chemistry for a fully remote role supporting critical R&D initiatives. The position focuses on method development, validation, and transfer across a range of instruments (HPLC, GC, MS, NMR, ICP-MS, UV-Vis, FTIR) with GLP/GMP awareness.

The candidate will mentor junior scientists, interpret complex data, and collaborate with global teams to advance novel compounds and materials from discovery to commercialization.

Qualifications

• PhD in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in analytical method development and validation.
• Hands-on with chromatography and mass spectrometry (HPLC, GC, LC-MS, GC-MS).
• Proficient in data analysis and statistics.
• Excellent remote collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods for identification and quantification.
• Interpret complex data and prepare reports for R&D teams.
• Lead analytical support for new product development from concept to commercialization.
• Mentor junior analytical chemists and guide projects.
• Ensure instrument maintenance, calibration, and compliance with GLP/GMP where applicable.
• Contribute to IP development and scientific publications.
