Placements24 is seeking a principled Senior AI Ethics and Governance Lead to establish responsible AI practices within a globally distributed organization, operating remotely. You will develop frameworks, policies, and guidelines to ensure AI systems are designed and deployed ethically, transparently, and equitably, collaborating with researchers, engineers, legal and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a field focusing on technology.
• Experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, governance, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and ethical implications.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience in developing policies, frameworks, and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics policies, principles, and governance frameworks.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments for AI projects and provide guidance on mitigating potential harms.
• Establish processes for AI transparency, explainability, and accountability.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and product teams to ensure AI systems adhere to regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
• Develop and deliver training programs on AI ethics and responsible AI practices to employees.
• Monitor the evolving landscape of AI ethics and governance, recommending updates to internal policies and procedures.
