About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute the month-end and year-end close processes for assigned entities. Perform detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis and trend identification. Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in line with IFRS updates. Support external audits by preparing schedules and providing explanations on IFRS application. Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and system upgrades. Collaborate effectively with finance teams across different global locations. Provide training and support to junior accounting staff on IFRS principles. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Requirements

Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) is mandatory. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong focus on IFRS. Proven expertise in IFRS application and financial statement preparation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, suitable for a remote team. Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
