Job summary

Parvana is seeking a Security Operations Engineer to manage daily security operations, incident response, and threat monitoring from a Cape Town-based or remote setup within a hybrid model.

You will configure EDR, SWG, UEBA, and PAM tools, participate in cloud security design, and help drive security awareness across the organization. Relevant certifications and ISO/GDPR experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in security operations or a related role.
• Hands-on experience with incident response planning and execution.
• Strong knowledge of Azure, M365, MITRE ATT&CK.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 and GDPR for the financial sector.
• Ability to stay current with evolving threat actor TTPs.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily security operations, runbooks, and incident response.
• Configure and operate core security tools (EDR, SWG, UEBA, PAM, SSO).
• Provide security input on projects and cloud implementations; design security controls.
• Support security awareness programs and phishing simulations.
