Placements24 is seeking a Senior Route Manager to design, manage, and continually improve delivery routes. This remote-first role centers on optimizing routing networks and reducing costs for operations originating from Paarl, Western Cape.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in route planning, optimization, or transportation management.
Experience with route planning software (PTV, RouteXL, Google Maps API).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex data.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and refine optimized delivery routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Analyze route performance data (mileage, fuel, delivery times) to identify improvements.
Model and simulate routing scenarios using route planning software.
Collaborate with dispatch and fleet management to execute planned routes.
Identify risks in the route network and develop mitigation strategies.
Prepare reports on route efficiency, cost savings, and performance metrics.
