Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a remote Mechanical Systems Engineer to design, analyze, and integrate mechanical subsystems for robotic platforms. You will deliver detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings, perform stress, dynamics, and thermal analyses, and collaborate with electronics, software, and control teams to ensure seamless system integration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in mechanical design with robotics/automation focus.
• Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor) and simulation tools.
• Strong knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, and robotics control.
• Experience with material selection and manufacturing processes for robotics.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a fully remote environment.
• Experience with robotics simulation software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate mechanical systems for robotic platforms and automated machinery.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using industry-standard software.
• Perform mechanical analysis (stress, dynamics, thermal) to ensure performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, software developers, and control specialists for system integration.
• Select actuators, sensors, bearings, and structural components for robotic systems.
• Develop and oversee prototyping and testing procedures for mechanical subsystems and robots.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement design improvements for manufacturability.
• Contribute to development of mechanical design standards for remote teams.
