Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a remote robotics and automation project. You will design robotic arms, end-effectors, conveyors, and automation cells from a remote workspace.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 4+ years in mechanical design with robotics/automation focus, and SolidWorks proficiency. You will create 3D models, detailed drawings, perform kinematic analyses, and work with software/electrical engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design with robotics/automation.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and PDM/PLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components for robotic systems using CAD tools.
• Create 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings with precise specifications.
• Perform kinematic and dynamic analysis of robotic mechanisms.
• Collaborate with software and electrical engineers to integrate mechanical designs.
• Select materials considering strength, weight, cost and environment.
• Support prototyping, testing and design documentation.
