Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Risk Analyst to join its insurance team. You will assess and quantify risks across the portfolio, develop models, and provide data-driven recommendations from a fully remote setup.

The role emphasizes KRIs, collaboration with underwriting and claims, and staying current with industry trends. A strong background in finance or statistics and proficiency in Python, R, or SQL are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
At least 4 years of risk analysis experience, preferably in insurance/financial services.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills with experience in statistical modeling.
Experience with Python, R, or SQL for data analysis.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

Analyze and assess insurance portfolio risks across market, credit, operational, and underwriting risks.
Develop risk models and methodologies to quantify potential financial exposures.
Monitor KRIs and prepare risk reports for senior management.
Collaborate with underwriting and claims to identify risk drivers and mitigation strategies.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging insurance risks.
Contribute to refining the company-wide risk management framework.
