Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Renewable Energy Analyst to support operations across South Africa from a remote capacity. You will evaluate feasibility, performance and economic viability of solar, wind, and battery storage projects using data analytics and financial modeling.

As a fully remote role, you will collaborate with dispersed teams, produce reports for management and investors, and contribute to strategic investment planning for a sustainable energy future.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance or related field.
• 4+ years in renewable energy analysis, project finance, or market research.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and financial modeling skills.
• Proficiency with data analysis software (Excel, Python) and energy modeling tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to present complex info.

Responsibilities

• Conduct techno-economic feasibility studies for new renewable energy projects.
• Analyze market trends, policy changes, and regulatory frameworks affecting the sector.
• Develop financial models to assess profitability, ROI, and sensitivity.
