Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Manager to join our global team, working remotely from Cape Town. This role will lead the quality management system and QA activities to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance across pharmaceutical operations.

The position focuses on audits, CAPA, change control, and staff training within a multinational environment, requiring strong leadership and remote-work discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or related life science.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical Quality Assurance or Quality Control.
• In-depth knowledge of cGMP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in managing audits, investigations, and CAPA systems.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with global regulatory standards.
• Oversee and manage all Quality Assurance activities, including batch record review, deviation investigations, and CAPA implementation.
• Conduct internal and external audits of manufacturing sites, suppliers, and partners.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, GDP, and other relevant pharmaceutical regulations.
• Manage the change control process and risk management activities.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on quality principles and procedures.
