Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Production Planning Specialist to manage production schedules and logistics from a home office. The role collaborates with procurement, production, and sales to forecast demand, manage inventory, and align plans with business goals.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in a related field, 4+ years of planning experience, and strong ERP/APS skills to improve efficiency and reduce costs while supporting Vereeniging, Gauteng operations remotely.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
Minimum 4 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain coordination within manufacturing.
Proficiency with SAP/Oracle ERP and APS software.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts and capacity.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely raw material availability.
Collaborate with production to monitor progress and address delays.
Optimize plans to maximise efficiency, reduce waste and lead times.
Manage inventory levels of raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
Generate reports on KPIs and forecast accuracy.
Identify risks and create contingency plans for disruptions.
Communicate plans and updates to stakeholders.
Utilize ERP systems to track production activities and performance.
Continuously seek improvements to planning processes.
