Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote Production Planner for a forward-thinking manufacturing client. You will create detailed production plans, optimize resources, and ensure on-time delivery across sites from your home office.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in SCM/Operations/Industrial Eng, at least 3 years in production planning, proficiency with APS software, ERP, and Excel, and strong remote collaboration skills. Remote work within South Africa is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in production planning, scheduling, or similar role within manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability.
• Optimize production plans to maximize efficiency, minimize lead times, and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with manufacturing teams, supply chain, and sales to align schedules with objectives.
• Monitor progress and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays.
• Manage material requirements planning (MRP) for timely availability of materials.
• Generate production reports and performance metrics for management review.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to understand capabilities and constraints.
• Utilize APS software and other tools to enhance planning accuracy.
• Maintain accurate production data and update planning systems.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives in production planning.
