Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Production Planner & Scheduler for a fully remote role. You will build and optimize production plans, forecast demand, and coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics to meet delivery targets.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in production planning within manufacturing, strong ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics), and excellent analytical and communication skills to lead remote teams and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years in production planning, scheduling in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics) and planning software.
• Strong understanding of production processes, inventory management, and forecasting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication across remote teams.
• APICS certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules to meet forecasts and orders.
• Coordinate with sales, procurement, and manufacturing for material availability and capacity alignment.
• Monitor progress and proactively address delays or issues with corrective actions.
• Manage inventory of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and improve planning accuracy.
• Communicate production status, risks, and schedule changes to stakeholders.
• Use ERP systems to manage schedules and track performance.
• Collaborate with logistics to ensure timely shipment of finished goods.
• Contribute to continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Prepare reports on schedules, performance metrics, and inventory status.
