Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Procurement Analyst to join a globally distributed team. This fully remote role supports procurement across South Africa, with focus on Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.

You will analyze spending, identify savings, and provide data-driven insights to guide sourcing strategies while collaborating remotely with internal stakeholders. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in procurement or financial analysis, strong Excel and SQL skills, and experience with BI tools

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, financial analysis, or related analytical role.
• Strong Excel (advanced) and data analysis skills.
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Analyze spending patterns, market trends, and supplier performance data to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Support development and implementation of sourcing strategies for various categories of goods and services.
• Assist in negotiations by providing data-driven insights and cost analysis.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on procurement metrics, savings, and risks.
• Monitor supplier performance against contracts and KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders remotely to gather requirements and provide procurement support.
• Maintain procurement databases and systems ensuring data accuracy.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and tools.
