Placements24 is seeking a Procurement Analyst in a hybrid role based near Soweto, combining on-site collaboration with remote analysis. You will collect and analyze procurement data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support strategic sourcing initiatives to drive efficiency and supplier performance.

The role requires strong data skills (Excel/SQL/Tableau), effective communication, and the ability to work across teams in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, or related quantitative field.
• 1-3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain analysis, or related analytical role.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Good understanding of procurement principles and processes.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data to identify trends and insights.
• Develop reports and dashboards to track key procurement metrics (spend, savings, supplier performance).
• Support strategic sourcing by providing market intelligence and cost analysis.
• Assist in negotiation by providing data-driven recommendations.
• Monitor supplier performance against contracts and KPIs.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and risk mitigation.
• Assist in managing procurement contracts and ensuring compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and support procurement needs.
• Maintain accurate databases of suppliers, contracts, and pricing information.
