Job summary

First Recruitment Group seeks a Principal EICA Engineer to lead the delivery of electrical, instrumentation and control design for UK water projects. You will oversee design from concept through commissioning, coordinate FATs and manage multidisciplinary teams, while maintaining client engagement and compliance with standards.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in EICA/EC&I, strong UK sector knowledge, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering EICA solutions within the UK Water industry.
• 15+ years in EICA/EC&I engineering.
• Strong client-facing experience with stakeholders.
• Experience across water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Knowledge of EICA design, installation and commissioning.
• Experience attending and managing FATs.
• Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, instrumentation and control systems.
• Strong understanding of UK engineering standards and legislation.
• Experience leading technical teams and reviewing deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and ensure EICA design delivery.
• Produce cost-effective EICA design solutions meeting specs.
• Oversee site surveys and installation scopes.
• Mentor junior engineers and allocate work.
• Interface with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
