Placements24 is seeking a fully remote Principal AI Engineer specializing in Reinforcement Learning. You will lead RL research, design scalable models, and collaborate with a global team to deploy robust AI solutions for complex industrial systems.

The role demands a PhD or equivalent, 7+ years in RL, and strong Python with TensorFlow/PyTorch. You will mentor engineers, publish insights, and influence RL strategy across the organization.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent research experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in developing and deploying Reinforcement Learning systems.
• Deep understanding of RL algorithms (e.g., Q-learning, Policy Gradients, Actor-Critic) and their theory.
• Proficiency in Python and ML/RL libraries TensorFlow, PyTorch, Ray RLlib, OpenAI Gym.

Responsibilities

• Lead the research and development of advanced RL algorithms for real-world applications.
• Design, implement, and optimize RL models for simulation and deployment in dynamic environments.
• Develop robust training methodologies and evaluation frameworks for RL agents.
• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-driven solutions.
• Contribute to the company's technical strategy and IP in RL; mentor junior engineers remotely.
• Author technical documentation and present findings to audiences.
• Ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability of deployed RL systems.
