Placements24 is seeking a forward-thinking Remote Precision Agriculture Specialist to join our innovative team. This role leverages GPS, GIS, drones, and data analytics to optimize farm operations for clients across regions, with a focus on efficiency and sustainability.

You will design and manage precision agriculture programs, analyze sensor and imagery data, and provide remote training and support to farmers while staying at the forefront of agricultural technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Precision Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in the application of precision agriculture techniques and technologies.
• Proficiency with GIS software, GPS technology, drone operation, and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of crop physiology, soil science, and agronomic principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver results in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage precision agriculture programs for clients, utilizing data from various sources.
• Analyze data from sensors, drones, satellite imagery, and farm management software to provide actionable insights.
• Develop strategies for optimized application of fertilizers, pesticides, and water based on detailed field analysis.
• Provide remote technical support and training to farmers and farm managers on precision agriculture technologies.
• Evaluate and recommend new precision agriculture tools and technologies to enhance farm operations.
• Monitor the effectiveness of precision agriculture interventions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
