Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Online Retail Merchandiser for a fully remote role. You will optimize product assortments, craft compelling listings, and enhance the online shopping experience to boost conversions across our digital platforms.

Collaborating with marketing, sales and tech, you will implement merchandising strategies, analyze traffic and sales data with analytics tools, monitor trends, conduct A/B tests, and ensure accurate product content from home office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in online merchandising, e-commerce, or a related digital retail role.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data and translate insights into effective merchandising strategies.
• Proficiency in e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and CMS.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and their application to product listings.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or related field preferred.
• Portfolio showcasing successful online merchandising initiatives is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute online merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability for designated product categories.
• Curate and manage product assortments, ensuring optimal product selection, categorization, and searchability on the e-commerce platform.
• Create and optimize product listings, including descriptions, images, and pricing, to enhance engagement and conversion rates.
• Analyze website traffic, sales data, and customer behavior to identify trends and opportunities for merchandising improvements.
• Develop and implement promotional campaigns and landing pages to drive traffic and sales.
• Collaborate with marketing to ensure consistent brand messaging and campaign execution across channels.
• Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to identify best practices.
• Manage product content, including rich media and detailed specifications, ensuring accuracy.
• Conduct A/B testing on merchandising elements to optimize UX and conversion funnels.
• Provide regular reports on merchandising performance and insights to stakeholders.
