Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Data Scientist specializing in NLP to join its innovative team on a fully remote basis. You will develop and deploy state-of-the-art NLP models to extract insights from unstructured text data and drive business decisions.

The role requires a Masters or PhD in a related field, 4+ years in NLP, and hands-on experience with spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Python and SQL.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist with a strong focus on NLP.
• Proven expertise in developing and deploying NLP models using spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with handling and processing large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and deploy NLP models for text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, and more.
• Utilize deep learning models (Transformers, BERT, GPT) and traditional NLP methods.
• Process and analyze large volumes of textual data from diverse sources.
• Design experiments to evaluate model performance and iterate improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate NLP models into production systems.
• Communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders via visualizations and reports.
• Stay abreast of the latest NLP and ML research and best practices.
• Contribute to robust Data Science infrastructure and processes.
