Placements24 is offering a specialized remote Apprenticeships & Trainee program for aspiring Network Administrators in Mahikeng. This fully remote role provides hands-on experience supporting and managing network systems under the guidance of experienced professionals.

You will learn in-depth about network infrastructure, security, and maintenance, with mentorship and practical training throughout the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in computer networking and IT infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP and operating systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
• Good communication skills to explain technical issues remotely to non-technical users.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay focused in a remote environment.
• Must be eligible for an apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to minimize downtime.
• Support users with network-related problems and provide timely solutions.
• Learn to implement and maintain network security measures to protect data and systems.
• Assist in managing user accounts and permissions within the network environment.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps accurately.
