Placements24 is seeking an experienced Mine Ventilation Engineer to join a fully remote, globally integrated team. You will design and optimize ventilation for underground operations, collaborate virtually with site teams, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

The role requires a strong background in ventilation modeling (Ventsim, Ventlog) and CFD, with at least six years of experience in underground environments. Excellent remote communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining/Mechanical Eng with ventilation specialization.
• 6+ years in mine ventilation engineering, underground preferred.
• Proficiency in Ventsim and Ventlog; CFD analysis desirable.
• Strong thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer knowledge.
• Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools.
• Excellent remote communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Able to collaborate across time zones remotely.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and optimize mine ventilation systems for underground operations.
• Conduct ventilation surveys, airflow measurements, and air quality monitoring.
• Develop and maintain ventilation network models using industry tools.
