Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly qualified Remote Mine Ventilation Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize ventilation systems from a remote location across the country. You will ensure safe air quality, control temperature and humidity, and manage dust and gas levels through strategic planning.

The role demands a MSc/MEng in Mining Eng with Ventilation specialization and at least 6 years' underground experience, plus proficiency with Ventsim and WENDIR.

Qualifications

• MSc or MEng in Mining Engineering with a specialization in Ventilation.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in mine ventilation, underground focus.
• Proficiency with Ventsim and WENDIR modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize mine ventilation networks for adequate airflow.
• Conduct ventilation surveys and analyze data to identify risks.
• Develop strategies to control heat, humidity, dust and gases.
• Specify ventilation equipment including fans, ducting, regulators.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regs.
• Collaborate with planning and operations to integrate ventilation needs.
