Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Mine Safety Inspector to uphold MHSA compliance across South African mining operations. This fully remote role enables oversight from anywhere in SA while ensuring safety standards are met.

You will conduct remote assessments, develop safety management systems, investigate incidents, deliver online training, and review risk assessments submitted by teams. The ideal candidate has a degree or diploma in OH&S or Mining, a minimum of six years’ experience,

• Experience conducting risk assessments and developing safety protocols.
• Strong analytical, communication and reporting capabilities for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote assessments and audits of mining sites for compliance.
• Develop and implement safety management systems for remote oversight.
• Investigate incidents and prepare detailed corrective action plans.
• Deliver safety training and awareness programs online.
• Review safety plans and risk assessments submitted by teams.
