Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Mine Planning Engineer to join their remote-focused team. You will design and optimize mine plans, develop short- and long-term production schedules, and leverage Deswik or Vulcan to maximize resource recovery while ensuring safety and cost efficiency.

Remote role with strong collaboration across geologists, surveyors and operations teams. Requires 5+ years in mine planning, open-pit or underground, and excellence in data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in mine planning and design, open-pit or underground.
• Proficient with Deswik, Vulcan, or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short-term and long-term mine plans using industry-standard software.
• Create detailed production schedules optimizing resource recovery and safety.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for projects.
• Collaborate with remote geologists, surveyors and operations teams.
• Analyze performance data and implement efficiency improvements.
• Stay updated on mining planning tech and best practices.
