About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Metallurgical Engineer to provide expert technical guidance and support for their mineral processing operations, including facilities near Klerksdorp . This fully remote role allows you to contribute to optimizing ore processing, improving recovery rates, and ensuring the efficient and sustainable extraction of valuable minerals from anywhere. You will analyze process data, troubleshoot operational challenges, and recommend improvements to mineral processing plants. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze metallurgical data from various processing plants to identify opportunities for yield improvement and cost reduction.
• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for mineral processing operations, addressing issues related to comminution, flotation, leaching, and refining.
• Develop and propose process modifications and upgrades to enhance mineral recovery and product quality.
• Review and interpret metallurgical test results, providing recommendations for plant operations.
• Collaborate with on-site plant metallurgists and engineers via virtual communication channels.
• Stay abreast of new metallurgical technologies and best practices to advise on implementation.

Requirements

• Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in mineral processing and metallurgy, preferably within the mining industry .

• Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to interpret complex process data.
